lz给出的这句英文把我搞糊涂了,据我所知,模具可大体分为两类,一类叫冷模,另一类是热模。冷模一般指不需要加热来成形,通过如冲压机等提供压力的装置,通过凸模(punch)和凹模(die)的作用来完成零件(多数是金属,当然也可以是非金属)的加工,冷模如冲裁模,压弯模,拉深模等,die这个词一般是指冷模里的凹模。热模一般是通过注塑机,将原料(如塑料)加热成液态然后冷却成形。
个人感觉mold这个词比较上位,mold可译为模制,模具,die一词可译为凹模(但不排出在某些文件中die这个词也指模具),但这句话里The dies of the mold are pressed together with enough pressure to evenly fill the mold.
