lz给出的这句英文把我搞糊涂了，据我所知，模具可大体分为两类，一类叫冷模，另一类是热模。冷模一般指不需要加热来成形，通过如冲压机等提供压力的装置，通过凸模（punch）和凹模（die）的作用来完成零件（多数是金属，当然也可以是非金属）的加工，冷模如冲裁模，压弯模，拉深模等，die这个词一般是指冷模里的凹模。热模一般是通过注塑机，将原料（如塑料）加热成液态然后冷却成形。
个人感觉mold这个词比较上位，mold可译为模制，模具，die一词可译为凹模（但不排出在某些文件中die这个词也指模具），但这句话里The dies of the mold are pressed together with enough pressure to evenly fill the mold.
用足够的压力使模具中的凹模挤压在一起，来均匀地fill 模具？怎么是使多个凹模pressed together？一般是凸模和凹模一对儿互相作用来成形的，晕，会不会是一次成形多个零件？有多对凸模和凹模？fill the mold也让人晕

这个案子涉及到塑料制品成型。文中还有top die 和lower die。fill指树脂注满
mold。那么die 和mold如何区分呢？关键是中文选择什么样的词语将它们区别？

oh,现在明白一些了，top die是指上模，lower die是指下模，就是指真正形成型腔（塑料所喷射进去成型的部分）的两个零件,而mold就是模具（指整体概念，即，不仅包括top die 和lower die还包括一些诸如用于固定上模、下模等板子之类的东西）了，我觉得如果有top或 lower （die）就叫上模，下模好了，单独出现die，叫“模”也可（虽然是单字，如果有标号就好了，比方模1，模2***，嘿嘿），mold就叫模具好了。
