(57)Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title carbon fiber capable of giving excellent processability and physical properties through composite formation with heat- resistant matrix resin as reinforcing fiber by sizing carbon fiber with an aromatic polyamide-imide copolymer made up of specific structural units.
CONSTITUTION: Firstly, a sizing agent consisting of an aromatic polyamide-imide copolymer made up of (A) structural unit of formula I (Z is trifunctional aromatic group with two functional groups bound to adjacent carbon atoms), (B) structural unit of formula II (Ar is aryl; R1 is 1-4C alkyl; b is 0-2; x is 1-500) and (C) structural unit of formula III with the molar ratios (B+C)/A = (1:1) and C/B=[(0.95-0)[s:3]0.05-1)] and the respective units linked alternately, is dissolved in an organic solvent. Thence, carbon fiber is immersed in the resulting solution, thus obtaining the objective sized carbon fiber. When composite formation is made using the present fiber with esp. a heat-resistant matrix resin, an excellent composite material with excellent processability and physical properties can be obtained.

(57)Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric igniter for inflammable which is integrated in a hard-wired circuit connected to a central control unit and has a size which is closed to the whole external size of the conventional igniter.
SOLUTION: An electric igniter 1 for inflammable has a main body divided into a downstream chamber and an upstream chamber by a discoid metallic piece 8 and the downstream chamber has a resistive heating element 11, a pyrotechnic detonating composition 12, and a pyrotechnic igniting composition 7. The upstream chamber has a conductor track for electronic card and a rectangular electronic card 17 extended by three external metallic pins 29-31. Two metallic connecting pins 13 and 14 connect the conductor track to the heating element 11 through the discoid metallic piece 8. A means which triggers intercommunication and a peculiar electric pulse train and a means for storing electric energy are connected to the conductor track.
