问一句with the details and particularity required by the patent

having described the invention with the details and particularity required by the patent laws, what is claimed and desired protected is set forth in the appended claims.

这个是一个PCT的最后一句，上面的那句大意是本领域技术人员在不脱离本发明的精神和范围的前提下很容易想到很多改进和发展。

这句到底打算表达什么，还有那个what代表什么意思。

实在有点弄不清了，先谢谢各位。

在已经根据专利法的要求详细描述了本发明的情况下，在所附权利要求书中阐述了所要求权利并期望得到保护的（技术方案）。

比如：what he wants is just money.

对what表示什么都不知道，楼主应该恶补英语语法了。

纠正一下二楼：
在having described the invention with the details and particularity required by the patent laws, what is claimed and desired protected is set forth in the appended claims这句话中，having……是表示“已经……”、“在已经……的情况/前提下”、“既然……”的意思没错，但请注意这里particularity是和invention并列的名词，而不是副词particularly修饰required，所以这里译为“在已经根据专利法的要求详细描述了本发明的情况下，”是不对的，那样的话，应为把and改为as，并且把particularity改为pariticularly,不过个人还是倾向于这样修改的，觉得这样可能更符合逻辑和句意，那样的话二楼的翻译是正确的
但是这里最有可能的是在required的前面丢了as，即“在已经详细描述了本发明并根据专利法所需描述了particularity的情况下”
当然，这句话可能原本就没有错，即想要表述的意思是，“在已经详细描述了本发明并描述了专利法所需的pariticularity的情况下”，这里的with the details用来作状语修饰describe the invention, 而requred by the patent law作后置定语修饰particularity，（注意：我没有译为“在已经详细描述了本发明和专利法所需的pariticularity的情况下”，是因为with the details其实并不修改describe particularity,而是仅修饰describe the invention）

此外，个人认为，\"what is claimed and desired protected \"应该改为，\"what is claimed and desired to be protected \"才更对

“details and particularity”  并列名词。

嗯，是我想错了。我在前面那个帖子中也一直觉得不太对劲，因为是with the details而不是with detail/in detail，一时没转过弯来
