“any suitable inert gas, such as a noble gas”遇见这样的句子,查阅发现inert gas与noble gas均有稀有气体和惰性气体的意思,该怎么翻译?

An inert gas is a non-reactive gas used during chemical synthesis, chemical analysis, or preservation of reactive materials.
The noble gases are a group of chemical elements with very similar properties: under standard conditions, they are all odorless, colorless, monatomic gases, with very low chemical reactivity. The six noble gases that occur naturally are helium (He), neon (Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe), and the radioactive radon (Rn).

Absolutely agree with \"jlulb\".
Unlike noble gases, an inert gas is not necessarily elemental and is often a compound gas, e.g. inert gas comprises He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, Rn, SF6, N2.
