参考国外专利的定义As defined herein, a “groove” is a channel running across one dimension of the cavity (width or length), e.g., a line or a curve, or a self-terminating channel on the cavity surface with random geometry or having the shape of a circle (FIG. 12), square, rectangle, triangle, diamond (FIG. 11), ellipse, etc. The grooves are formed on the boat surface or the surface of the cavity by known automatic or manual mechanical means such as using grinders, drills, via Electro Discharge Machining (EDM), Electro Discharge Grinding (EDG), laser, plasma, ultrasonic machining, sand-blasting, and water jet, etc.
For purposes of this specification, a groove is defined as a channel that is cut or formed in the pad material where the length of the channel is greater than its width. A groove may or may not extend the entire length of a pad section.
