美国专利权利恢复的问题

现在有一个美国专利，因为未缴年费导致失效，失效日期是2008年9月29日，现在还有可能恢复权利吗？
对美国的专利法不了解，希望有人指教。

在中国是自期限届满日两年内可以请求恢复，你可以作为参照，有可能恢复的可能性

35 USC 41(c)(1)
\"The Director may accept the payment of any maintenance fee required by subsection (b) of this section which is made within twenty-four months after the six-month grace period if the delay is shown to the satisfaction of the Director to have been unintentional, or at any time after the six-month grace period if the delay is shown to the satisfaction of the Director to have been unavoidable. . . . If the Director accepts payment of a maintenance fee after the six-month grace period, the patent shall be considered as not having expired at the end of the grace period.\"
