ground for regeneration虾米意思？

I am currently translating a mechanical patent and encountering a problem. Hope to get some assistance. The sentence is :
This view illustrates a state in which the threaded grinding wheel is dressed (ground for regeneration) by a pair of dressing tools.
图中显示的是一对修整工具对螺纹磨轮进行修正（？？）的状态。
What\'s the meaning of \"ground for regeneration\"? Does anyone know? Waiting online.
